I got myself a Canon 7D for test purposes. I will shoot a short film with it. Here is some behind the scenes stuff.
Don’t wait in anticipation, as the post-production will take its time.

Do you like the camera? I have had some serious thoughts about purchasing it. Got myself new laptop today! Pretty stoked about it.
I haven’t used it much for still imaging, but from what I’ve experienced, I like it better than the 1D Mk. III or other Canons I’ve tried.
With 7D you can select an AF point with a small joystick, which wasn’t possible with the older Canons. I think. Or then I just haven’t found the right button in menu. But anyways, I hate selecting the AF point with two scrolls (after pressing a button that is hard to reach quickly). And now that problem is gone.
If a crop sensor isn’t a problem, I think Canon 7D isn’t a bad choice. I’ll write about my cinematographing experiences later.
